    My First Vise

it's always something isn't it Mr Powers? Just think of what could happen if someone had changed the mounting plate or even the spring!! 50 years ago. BE CAREFUL out there... especially with "attribution". Haha. What a joke. Any possible reason to ad to your post count. How trivial. Keep up the good work.
  2. you can test an anvils rebound with a small hammer just as well. just a few taps will tell you if the anvil is 'live' or not. too easy maybe?

  4. not that bad for an anvil that size. have fun with it.
  5. what a letdown. good luck in your search.
  6. Looking forward to reading a report. Good luck to you!

  8. how thick is the material on the "table" legs? It looks a little light to me. 1/4" to 5/16"? I know it's a table but someone is likely to sit on it at some point. The legs look like they will 'splay' if any amount of weight is put on them. Aside from possible damage and safety the "table" would look better with thicker stock. The wood top is quite beefy which makes the legs look skimpy even if they are up to the task. just my opinion...

  14. I was going to mention that it isn't really 'global warming' it's 'climate change'. I think snow in Atlanta qualifies as climate change. But then I saw you were from Alabama ( :P :P :P :P ), so.... never mind.
