  1. Friends, thank you for your opinion. I am very glad that I was able to buy this anvil.
  2. In Russia, there are very few such anvils. I paid about 500 dollars.
  3. Hello friends. I bought an anvil. S&H, 213 kilograms. 18.0 year of production.
  4. Thank you for your opinion. What can I say for sure: 1. This is a North German anvil. 2. Her weight is written, 14( ) kg. 3. It is forged, numerous joints of different pieces of metal are visible. 4. It has been in use for a long time. 5. There are no manufacturer's stamps on its sides. 6. Its lower part has been in a humid environment for a long time, strong elements of corrosion are visible. 7. Both horns were practically not used. 8. That's all I could see. If you have any idea how old it is and who the manufacturer is, I would really appreciate it!
  5. Hi people! I found old and rusty German Anvil 150 kg. There is no trade mark, only 14(9) kilo. How old are they? What kind of brand? Thank you!
  6. I wonder from what year, Hulot Harmel stopped printing the name of the place. Sedan at Donchery. Thank you for your opinion. I like it too, despite the scratches.
  7. Hi all! I bought this anvil. 155 kg. Forged. The inscription is almost unreadable, but it looks like Hulot Armel. Year, weight, name of place of production are missing. What do you think?
  8. Hello! Has anyone seen such a label? Two hammers and the letter "M".
  9. Hello! Thank you very much for your opinion and rating! I'm sure you exaggerate my abilities.
  10. Good afternoon! Thank you for your opinion, and appreciation of the anvil. I would like to know where chronologically and geographically, my anvil could have been made..
  11. Good afternoon everyone! A bit of architectural forging from me.
  12. In Soviet times, there were two ways to get imported equipment. The first is lend-lease. I think that's how I got my big mousehole. Mainly from USA and UK. The second way is the export of equipment from Germany, after ww2. Thus, most of the European equipment came to us. In st. petersburg there are often anvils from finland, as it is nearby. There are many more nameless manufacturers of inexpensive anvils, with cast iron bodies and hard faceplates. Or without it. Generally of average quality, and made before 1917. The anvils of the USSR period, made at local factories, do not differ in variety. All these models are familiar to me.
