  1. Do not sand it! Use a wire wheel then rub some boiled linseed oil on it. Looks like GREAT DEAL.
  2. I would think the odds are in your favor at that price.
  3. I would not even respond to the low life. Weigh it and ask 6 bucks a lbs then sell for no lower than 5 it is not going to devalue.
  4. Well buy my mountain in TN 150 acres there.
  5. Nope I like my privacy the locals will pay. When I first got here in 93 they were paying $1,500 for a (deer lease) they got mad at me for laughing at them.
  6. The pigs here are pretty smart never heard of one getting hit yet. And all the free sausage you can eat.
  7. Yes there are some bad areas and Dan does not do Dallas. My house is in the middle of 33 acres I can pee off the porch and shoot a shotgun at the same time. I had 12 deer milling aroud yesterday.
  8. I am pretty low tech here. No intrest in the big city or high class accommodations I am more a shack by a lake with a rowboat type of guy. This is at my lake house in michigan.
  9. xxxx that is magnificent I sure hope I can make it up there again. Thank you very much I did not mean to be a pain. Are there places there to rent short term?
  10. Getting ready to sell two places one in Texas then Tennessee. Both have the best elevation in their area.
  11. They paid me some for damage when they put some pipes in. They told me since it was for surface damage I would not have to pay taxes on it. They lied and turned it in to the IRS when I called them on it they told me to have my lawyer contact theirs.
  12. How about a mountain picture?
  13. Good pets to have around here. They eat venomous snakes and scorpions.
  14. This is true but was hysterical watching my bull explain this to them.
  15. I have looked on the net but find very little. My son has found some sold prices that he said were very high. I know I never cared what I was beating on all these years. But once I got here it seemed to be important. This lead me to find out the rarity what even makes it harder to value.
  16. I went through the same thing here. They ended up putting their rig across the street and burrowed under my land to suck it out from under me. I was up there when I was 14 I would love to see it again if I can make it that long.
  17. I don't believe anyone was talking about new anvils. I have not been able to find many antique or rare anvils for sale. I am looking for real time sales to base a fair value on.
  18. From what I have read Postman has only documented 3 anvils known in the U.S. that matched one of my anvils. I don't know much about them even though I have had them for over 40 years but sounds like it might be a rarity in the U.S. I appreciate this forum I am learning a lot and hope to learn more. Most antiques go up in value and anvils are unique as being used does not seem to hurt their value. Not sure how true your statement is I have been looking for used anvils. Can you show some adds that supports your claim?
  19. Anvils are going for 10 bucks a pound in Texas?
  20. Frosty just noticed your location that is one beautiful area. Do you have acreage there?
