  1. Absolutely. And while it is probably TMI, yes, the bowel movements give you a new bad day. It's just awful sounding all around, but it actually does help on the very very very worst days.
  2. So, the espresso has the caffeine, and the tabasco has the flavor. It basically gives you an adrenaline boost. And, it tastes awful enough that it makes you think about how stupid you are, not what's going on externally.
  3. I'm more of a tea guy... until I have my days when I just break down and will down several pots of espresso as fast as the coffee maker can pump them out... often with spoonfuls of tabasco sauce. When I have bad days I have bad days.
  4. Twigg, that sucks. Would a chopsaw be allowed? You can get them for ~$300 and as long as its a cold saw it shouldn't do too many sparks.
  5. Looking good! I’m still spending my hours slowly getting through my steel with an angle grinder
  6. Well, as long as they're fine and you're fine and you know better... JHCC, I gave you the info you requested.
  7. That doesn’t sound good. They alright now? I’m actually driving through WV today...
  8. I was just going to ask how you got the saw blade spine... never mind. Is that comfortable?
  9. Paul- heck no I ain’t making clinker scales! That sounds like a pain to sand, and you could get tear out. Maybe if you made a mold of exactly how the scale would be. I think the best things would all be finished products, ie no sanding or cutting after the resin hardens. I think it would harden fine. I’d suggest giving it a good acetone wash, though, to get the powder off.
  10. Paul, what if you used resin? Like made a resin coaster with a big slab of clinker embedded in it?
  11. Hondo, do you buy from tractor supply? I do and get generally a bunch of sticks, some rocks, and a bit of cement. Though the rocks and cement are easily removed
  12. Paul, I haven’t had too much clinker with a few exceptions- 1 when I spilled borax in the gorge. Not a fun day 2 when I melted some mokume game and I had copper infused coal 3 when my idiot friend put his piece in when the shop vac was hooked up (to preheat it) and melted 5” of .5” rebar and I had a clinker made of steel and coal 4” round. those aren’t really clinkers, but they sure are messes. Sorry for bad typing, on mobile Hornet, looks good, especially for a first. The top pic looks like the spike head is off to the side instead of up and down. Might just be perspective. While the tip is less than perfect, very nice straight bevels. Sweet of your daughter to want to get involved, and seeet if you to let her TP, was it BB that got you? I hear he’s Back to giving free tooth hugs.
  13. TP, be careful. Generally hydrogen bombs aren’t too safe.
  14. BB, Komodo’s what I keep in the garage, in the basement during the winter. Twigg, I really do want to try one of those whales. Now, if I can find some wrought iron, I think that’d be an awesome first wrought iron project. And I’m not sure if you realized or not, I didn’t make that. I just want to
  15. I might try one of these... made from a fork. Super super easy Might also give one of these little guys a shot
  16. Le Marechal- Beautiful! Are those surfaces milled? They seem to have toolpaths. Or is it just how they're ground?
  17. Which kind? I'm down for all three. Mixed together, if preferable. Nah, JK JK. I do love coke, especially vanilla, and anthracite isn't the greatest, though.
  18. I'm not sure I want to purchase any from a real dealer, as I'm honestly not sure what I'd do with it, but if I go to the scrapyard I'll keep an eye out for it.
  19. Ok. Might try to go to the scrapyard one of these days, keep an eye peeled.
