Hi everyone, the recent travel restrictions and a two week self isolation requirement from re-entering the country has rekindled my interest in working with my hands. I used the time to restore a Rapid
B forge that has been in my container for the past 20 something years. Still a couple of jobs left on it such as the 14T gears require replacement, and to fabricate the pan + ash dump plate however, I didn't have the tooling / resources where I was holed up. Intend to restore more accumulated tools after I move house in the near future (bigger shed:) ). I Also made an axe handle for an old head that I found in the same container - hand cut / planed and shaved a 50 year old piece of hardwood into shape. It has been a very satisfying experience and good use of the current environment we find ourselves in.
