Thanks for everything I am kind of scared of making things cause I want to make them just right but I already made a few things and they are okay I want to follow detailed instructions so that I make no mistakes but one has to make mistakes to learn.By the way how does one put the location on I really don't know how?

Thanks Guys for all the info it seems I will continue to collect spring steel from the scrapyard.Can someone tell me what stainless spring steel is because the quality of the spring steel and the quality of the stainless steel mixed would be very effective and can one not pattern weld spring steel and stainless steel to get the same thing?

How does one make spring steel and how does one make stainless spring steel?I know I can get it from the scrapyard [spring steel that is] but I would really like to make some myself.Any advice is aprreciated. Blessings to all.

If you dont mind me asking could you perhaps give any recommendations on where to get good advice on making tools and kinves. I hate to admit it I'm quite lost here and don't really know where to search for these things. I orderd some books but it will take another 4 to 5 weeks to arrive and I'm quite eager to start as soon as possible. So please any help will be greatly appreciated.
