  1. I had planed on using a solid piece of light sheet metal on the bottom and also the top for the burners. I have an old dryer I will cut up for the sides. Thanks for the idea.
  2. My plan is to build it like a brick pile forge using an angle iron frame with a kiln shelf on the floor. I have plenty of material to make ends for it. Where am I going wrong. Thanks
  3. I have been reading this forum for some time and I think I am now ready to try and build my first forge. I have a sheet of 2600F 1" Ceramic Fiber Insulation Board that I am thinking about building a rectangular forge out of. My question is, do I need to coat the board with rigidizer and a reflective coating. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
