I made one of these (thanks, Frosty & Spanky!), my first, and it seems to work well. My rubber hose connection is 3/8 flare, so I used this: [commercial link removed] My MiG tip is M6x1.0 so I used a #8 tap drill. There is plenty of brass for threading in the pipe (orifice) end on this fitting.
