      JW, I am sory I never took the time to respond to this comment as it has been years since you left it. I saw your demonstration back in Feb at Stan's shop. I loved your demo and have used your techniques to make a knife and you inspired me to build a press for pattern welding. But by far the best piece of advice that I recieved that day was to use a wooden mallet to sraighten red hot steel. I never thought of it and it has changed the way I do things.
