Thank you BillyBones. 135lb when new C&A Mousehole. She's my most used anvil and my favorite to forge on

They sell both cast iron and cast steel anvils. Make sure to get the cast steel. It would be a huge upgrade to your harbor freight anvil. Yes they do need a little clean up. I just picked up the 66lber on a cyber Monday deal because we all need more anvils

Daswulf yes that's the same understanding I have on the age as well. If not online sooner I hope maybe to find something that will work at quadstate next year. If not I'll enjoy looking at it and showing it off. It only cost me a 20 dollar bill at my local flea market

Thank you Frosty. I don't know much about Lord of the rings but my son's a big fan and even named his puppy Gimli. The tennon style mount just refers to the way the mount is attached to the vise. It goes thru both jaws and the spring, held in with a wedge. Here's a better picture showing that.

Hoping one of you fine people might recognize the makers mark on this tennon style mount bench vise I recently found. Looks like PW with 7 stars but I have been unable to find anything on it. Unfortunately missing the screw and screw box but I couldn't leave it. I know I will probably never know but these things keep me up at night. Thanks yall

Can you see any dots between the weight stamp? (1.1.17). Mouseholes are also known for a ridge on the underside of the horn. I couldn't tell from your pictures. -

Beautiful anvil loneronin. Grabbed this 112 lb nc tool calvary anvil with stand, a few hardy tools and a portable bandsaw with a few extra blades. Got the anvil for my son to use but dont think I wont use it. I love my mousehole and will continue to be my main anvil but the thinner heel on the new anvil will come in handy along with the turning cams and a nice square hardy. My mousehole also doesn't have a pritchel hole.

Love the knitting bowl JHCC. How much stock did it take to make that. I finally got around to trying a horse head opener. Fairly satisfied with my first attempt. -

Thanks. A buddy of mine hooked me up with a bucket full of scrap 5"x3"x1/4" stainless plate. They work out perfect for flower bases. -

Like those scissors Frazer. I thought I'd attempt an Easter lily with the holiday coming up. Happy with the outcome for first attempt. -

Pnut I was given some interlocking fire brick for my forge. I have plenty extra if you want some. -

On this I used a matte clearcoat spray paint.
