It's in the hole but not stuck, the farrier had put a railroad spike in the hardy hole I'm guessing to create a smooth surface over the top of it. Right now I took it out and set it aside, i'll see if I have a need for it in the future.
Thank you, I have been seeing nothing but $5+ per pound for a long time. I don't know what I did right to stumble upon these deals, but I've been looking in every crevice trying to find them. I've gone down to the local scrap yards, amish auctions, and I've asked just about everyone I know that goes to auctions to keep an eye out for anvils and hand planes.
