  1. Thanks guys. I'm pretty happy with that find, and think it's one that will stay in the collection for years to come.
  2. Saw this for sale locally at a reasonable price - had a hunch it was something a bit special due to no pritchel hole etc. An hour after spotting it online, it was loaded from someones fathers shed into my van. I've only just gotten around to wire brushing it in the hope of finding some markings. Whilst it did take me a while or cleaning and searching, the old girl didnt dissapoint in showing me some ID, and confirmed what I already thought. A nice old C&A Mousehole, putting it between 1795-1820 accroding to Postman. It's seen some work and a little bit of abuse, but generally in good condition, and still has great rebound at around 90% or more. Just shows that there are some out there, and sometimes in least expected places. Also bears the mark 'BA' on the foot, which I assume to be an inspection mark. (I picked up the little 1 1/4 CWT John Brooks the same day)
  3. Irondragon - Thanks for the pointers ThomasPowers - yea that seems about accurate lol Flatliner - Cool, I'm sure I have family from over that side also
  4. Just wondering out of curiousity sake, I picked this up a few months back, just got round to cleaning it up a bit today and wondered if anyone had any ideas to a maker. Only markings that I can find on it are the hundred weight stamps, and theres initials stamped at the bottom near one of the feet. Been over it top to bottom and cant see any other distinguishing marks to my eyes. Its been suggested its possibly an Isaac Nash? I have another I picked up around the same time but cant find any clues to any markings on that one lol (figured I'd also included a picture of it)
