  1. Just to add to the comments on welding galv. even a filter respirator is not safe, it MUST be an airline or self contained respirator and if airline make sure the intake is properly placed. Kansaspiper Mulvane Kansas
  2. I am in the process of making a bellows based on the little red book "HOW TO MAKE A BLACKSMITHS BELLOWS" by Robert Heath The plan calls for leather for the "bag". Has anyone out there built a bellows using CANVAS? I have some 10 ounce "sunforger flame resistant mildew resistant canvas and was thinking of using it in place of leather. how 'bout it folks? Any other tricks hints or ideas GRATE FULLY accepted Kansaspiper Mulvane Kansas
  3. Greetings to All It is a pleasure to find a good forum on a great hobby, after several years of scrounging, I have set up my forge. I is really amazing how many new freinds are willing to help me beat on the anvil . I have built a lean-too off my shop and now have the forge, anvil and post vise set. Altho I have a crank blower, I am in the process of building a 2 chamber bellows. It is loosly based on "HEATH's" book. I also do woodworking play bagpipes and am a Licensed Falconer presently working with a Red Tail Hawk. Kansas Piper Mulvane Kansas
