  1. Ohh, I really like the Covenant Bullet. I'm have to look up that video too. Industrial edm is new to me. That is a good one too Frosty. I was going to link "rubber chicken singing Toto's "Africa"" but better not.....
  2. The rubber chicken again. You threatened to beat me with it in person, mail it to mom to thrash me with it, I think you even mentioned automating one to go after me. I suppose a rubber chicken could give a good lashing though. Still haven't seen one. I don't have a low side to the bed, I don't think. How do you get it low? Do you have to get a roll going to flip you out? I sometimes do.
  3. I think you are a multi-tasker. What do you mean, old fart? You old buzzard. I had a hard time getting off the edge of the bed this morning. And I'm not 89 years old.

  5. Also, thank you for the new Historical Ironwork sub-forum. I'll flag topics I see. I hope others do as well.
  6. This is what I was responding to. There are things that bother me and this is one and I ran with it. My school wasn't so great either. Good to have you on the forum.
  7. What is mlm scams? I don't know what tin has to do with the collapse of the internet, commodities trading, communication and all that goes with it. What did I overlook? Btw, if it comes to that everybody will go hungry sooner or later. Nobody is an island.
  8. Good luck when the whole electronic thing gets fried by hackers or who knows what, solar storm. You may wish your kugerand was a potato!
  9. They may use their gun to take your 2000 eggs. I have given up on the ultimate survivalist crud. I'll do what I can.
  10. Are you thinking of putting a tool rest on there? It turned out nice.
  11. This might be a good place to put this. https://www.heritagedaily.com/2024/03/rare-medieval-belt-loop-found-near-kamien-pomorski/151089
  12. 3rd time might be the charm. Odd no press gurus never chimed in. I'm not one but wish you success. Scott
  13. Did you get around to shaping a knife? How is it working for you. Archie?
  14. I've worked in brass, bronze and aluminum. I started with gingeys charchol furnace and went from there. I've done lost wax, foam, and patterns. I'm halfway working on a cuppola now but I have other things pressing. I've often wondered what kind of effect pouring molten metal through a airstream onto a "form" would produce.
  15. Thanks. I don't disagree, I was just wondering what you do and make. I had a chance a few years ago at a job at a foundry here that does premiere work and made bronze statues, but they couldn't pay much and had no insurance so I had to pass, so I know what you mean. But it was hard to pass. They have an extrodinary niche. I could have learned so much, I think. I was just wondering what you produced. I guess I have decades of off and on experience too, but haven't done it for years and don't intend to anymore. But iron might be in possible future....
  16. Well, I collect old machettis on the cheap, I have many. Not very glamorious. Old and worn out. It's interesting to see how some people keep them going to the bitter end. Also butcher knives. I have some that are paper (almost) thin and all wavy on the blade from probably sharpening on over used junk sharpening stones. Somebody re-purposed a broken broomstick, I think.
  17. I guess Beastie is an evolving thing. Sometimes slow is much better than hasty. I am still facinated with his horns but haven't found any hood hinges that look like that. Do I see your magnetic plate holding things together or what? You should finish the poor fellow as soon as possible.
