Lol I’m glad y’all liked it! I sent out a ton of Halloween cards this year to people everywhere but I think my favorite response so far was from a home for foster children that some folks I know run! They told me Those kids went crazy when they received their Halloween card with the blood red skull and cross bones in the mail! -

I suppose your right Jerry, I should do a couple with full length twists to add to the mix, I don’t really ever do any of mine all the same I just kinda roll with it lol I like the idea of doing a twist all the way down though I’ve never done any like that -
Thanks Guys!!! I appreciate your thoughts! I was thinking of using square stock for the horse shoe thing and then tapering and rounding it off, then doing a snail lookin scroll with it to give it a little more life? I really like the idea of the punch and drift on the crosses that would be sturdy! A forge weld would be cool but I don’t think I could do three in a row to match my only thought so far had been to either rivet them together and use copper wire or like Goods said cheat with a mig an wrap it in bright copper wire to hide it both pieces seem simple but kinda boring in my humble opinion,

Yeah I was just kinda free handing the twists not really trying to make them uniform well at least that my story lol those are my idea of icicle ornaments not really scribes lol i think I’ll make a pile more of them and some more of the Fredricks crosses to give away I contacted the local Ag teacher at the high school to see about bribing his students into using their fancy shamcy cnc plasma cutter to cut me out some blanks for sleigh bells I think I’ll be doing more of them this year as well -

Howdy from Eastern Oklahoma! Welcome to the forum! do ya got a picture of what your wanting made? -
so I had a lady send me these pictures awhile back and ask if I could make them for her, they look like easy peasy projects an I’m rusty so I said yes, I’m interested in hearing what y’all think about them? What’s your take, ideas, ect… I think i definitely would do a little fancier scroll on the horse shoe thingy, (I’m not sure what it’s supposed to function as) the crosses on the other hand im not sure how they are connected? The picture is to fuzzy, how would you attach the pieces and what would you do differently on them?

I’ve had that happen when I get furious at something and attack it with everything I’ve got until I run outta steam and walk away… then I come back I. A day or two and everything comes together perfectly with little effort, im not sure if there’s a name for it other then the universe saying slow down an take walk lol

For some strange reason every 400 I come across has the legs rotted off or they have been replaced, but I don’t see that on near as many buffalos or ottos

You’re really going to enjoy that Vise! I have the same exact Columbian that’s branded as a rigid that came off an oil Derrick off the gulf coast and I use it daily in my repair shop, I love mine I wouldn’t trade it for nothing

Howdy everybody! How’s it been going around here? everyone doin alright? well I’m busy here in eastern Oklahoma as always gettin into everything under the sun and usually over my head! recently we started gutting out a really old house in westville we bought to fix up for a rental property, it used to be a hotel for the Frisco railroad that shut down here locally back in the 1940s, im not sure when it started or when the house was built, im assuming sometime before state hood in 1907 we started finding newspapers and paper bags in the walls and under the floors! I found one complete newspaper from the town in westville from the spring of 1912! It’s pretty cool! We are still working on our ol commercial building downtown westville too, on top of that been looking for a bigger house for us to move into the mower shop has been busy an behind but I called up my ol partner from the shop I used to work for and he’s been helping me try an keep things goin! on the weekends I try to slip out to the creek or river an catch a few fish if I can get a break! Max has started school this year!!! Which has been a whole new adventure! Lol also he’s playing on a 3 year olds soccer team and that is the most hilarious thing I’ve ever seen!!!! I’ve also started trying to figure out the whole VA thing and that’s a bit mentally draining… Anyways just busy busy busy here running around! how about everyone all y’all? What adventures has everyone been gettin into outside the smithy? Jerry, have you received any Okie post yet? Randy, how you liking that new set of peepers? Scott, you found any new train stuff? Frazer how’s camping? Jennifer, you always got something new going on! Shaina, thank you for pickin up that fishin pole for me! Les, I ain’t tried that bowl yet but imma try it out soon on some Christmas stuff! John, any jet setting? How’s the store? Mr Goods how about you? any everyone else that I didn’t mention what all y’all been doin?
