  3. I grant you this , it is very expensive but the D2 process that brings 62+ R does intrigue my interest to achieve the best product you can turn out with the most flexible hard tool you can get. I will keep learning.
  4. I have read several posts on knife sites and seen a few test and comparisons to other very hard materials do you have any thoughts or other articles I can research?
  5. It looks real great for #2 you should have seen mine.now three year and 80-100 knives later they were still the most fun.keep building keep doing things new.I have built my own 2" belt grinder after using a 1" for most or a 6' contact on a arbor.sand sand sand then polish. dave

I have been making custom knives for a few years .I have use the stock removal method on most, forged a few railroad spikes, but now an trying to learn art of Damascus. my first attempt was fun and rewarded several knives from one billet, beginners luck I guess.I am now working on my latest billet hoping for the same results. This forum will be a great help. Thanks
