  1. yes it was stock removal, i cant forge yet, but im very close. the guard was another box end of a wrench i cut off.
  2. im not saying price it like jewelry at all. price it accordingly to the materials and flaws.
  3. i just started making knives . i find it very difficult not to have any mistakes . ive been a jeweler for a long time, in that world you cant make mistakes period! so it is hard for me to get into the mind set hey this aint jewelry. its a knife made by a human hand, it will have flaws. price it accordingly.
  4. the only reason they use gold as a conductor over silver is. it does not oxidize unless its in an alloy form then oxidation is still minimal. silver oxidizes very fast.thats why most silver jewelry is nickle plated.
  5. fine silver is very soft, sterling is a bit tougher because of the copper content. you can inlay it or plate it. or use for a guard or pummel .been working with silver since i was 14.
  6. i copied an izula . file steel made it a super izula lol.the coatings are cerakote. 2 is armor black , 3 is A I dark earth. nova is good i put heavy duty 5 leaf springs on her . just need better tires . 500 hp melts them.
  7. first 2 knives i ever made 15 years ago had no clue what i was doing lol. blades are made from ats 34, trim metal and rivets are all sterling silver cast and hand made by me.skinner has whitetail antler well the handles are Australian lace wood. way to soft of wood. i do not recommend it unless its just accent for your piece.
  8. this is the quality i want to make, excellent piece. your scabbard is just as sweet as the blade.
  9. these are all the ones ive made recently, if you all have any questions about any or them please ask.most are made from old files, the little fat black one is made from my 1972 nova's leaf spring
  10. like mora's but with the nice wood handles

  14. i really dont have a style yet .i like choppers, fighting knives, hunting and scandinavian designs . ive been into knives a very long time. making them is more of a challenge do to lack of equipment. i have been a jeweler for 23 years. something just called me to start this up lol. as of now im doing stock reduction but will be forging soon. i have a very old 125 pound anvil that i need to true up. it came out of a farmhouse that was vacant and run down for about 30 years in 2000. they are family friends and said i could have it. that is the moment that started my interest.
