  1. I am definitely interested Ironman, I've been busy lately with roofin work, which has been the most consistent, &promising employment 4 me, here in New Mexico. I roughly average $50 per day, or more, depending on hrs, @ $8/hr. My phone # is (575) 415-6497, if we can still make a deal. Not 2 B greedy, but I am interested in purchasing more than 1. I seriously want as heavy-duty as I can get ahold of, as well as 1 lighter-duty. Thanx, if U still have it available.
  2. Thank U Mr.Powers. Amazing how close things can B.I don't know why I never thought 2 ask if they had the coal, when I've seen the farrier's tools, horseshoe stock, etc. there, @ Tractor Supply. So, on your vises, R any of the 4 available, 8" ? I'm still seriously interested, regardless. Thanx 4 your time. Been @ a Bible study & supper"Festival of Lights", tonite, after diggin 15 postholes this afternoon. "Holey-work".Hopefully go get some Anthracite tomorrow.
  3. THAT'S 2 KOOL ! THANK U SO MUCH. THAT IS THE TRACTOR SUPPLY IN ALAMOGORDO, RIGHT ?
  4. AMEN. As much as I love antique iron, I also love 2 fabricate.Been savin a 4" x 4" x 3/16" ti plate, (w/correct filler wire) 4 15 yrs. Was plannin 2 have it h2o-jetted into maltese cross,&tig the cutouts, onto the back side, like a flower's back to it's stem. Would've been a cool mc mirror, but now I want 3" more 2 do a grizzly bear paw, 4 kickstand. Alamogordo,NM 88310 5 Southwind Dr. ,Alamogordo,NM 88310 is my actual address.
  5. So kool. Would love 2 C it, the anvil 2 ofcourse. How big of post vises R U willing 2 let go ? How much $$ ? My old hammer's all steel also, I-beam-ish tire-iron handle.Thinkin it may B 4 a Chevy, or Dodge Brothers, have seen a Ford ,they're different,& marked.

  7. I love old wrenches, farm implements, etc.Have got some from antique stores, & WOW ! I JUST REMEMBERED ANOTHER LEG VISE THAT WAS 4 SALE, 70-80 miles away 1 & 1/2 yrs ago. A good friend found an OLD hammer, while gardening the land he inherited from his grandmother, & knowing I always carry my old Snap-On, GAVE IT 2 ME.IT HAS BEEN MY "NEW"FAVORITE, 4 almost 4yrs now.It might B 100yrs old. 8. I missed out on 2 smokin deals in the past year or so.The 1st one, was a leg vise, & a benchtop forge, w/blower , @ a flea market. Prices weren't bad, very fair. I left, came back with $ lender,& they got SOLD already. Then a friend I rarely C, had 1 layin in dirt, by his garage, I spotted it, asked, hetold me $50. I never got back out there, let alone call, tostay in touch( $50 !! ). Just seen him other day, asked about it, & it went 2 someone else. YEP, I'M IN NEW MEXICO. I am working more lately, roofin semi-part-time. I've got 2 Blacksmithin books, 2 farrier's anvils, couple pieces of RxR trak, & couple 10-lug brake drums. Got steel workbenches, & 1chinese-crap,harbor freight vice.Oh yeah a little handcrank,gear-reduction bench-grinder(plan 2 adapt 4 a blower).I have plenty of hammers&clamps from my metal-fab past( MOSTLY B-4 NEW MEXICO ), but hopefully SOON, I can get $$ saved up, & find me a LARGE LEG VISE. I remember a yr ago or so, there was a big 1, I forget if it was a 6", or maybe 8"?. There were also 2 seperate MONSTER BRIDGE ANVILS 4 sale, out in Cali'. Anyway, sorry bout all the yakkin, doin this with Android , & semi-big fingers.Bullwinkle71 out.
