  3. Does the plate under the leg have a hole cut for the let to sit in and if so is it through both plates or just the little top one?
  4. Latest addition to the collection.. I've decided that as I cant get using them then I'm gonna collect them. Anyone recognise the shiny hammer? I was told who made it but cant remember. No idea why there was shoe polish there. It was in the box.
  5. Like Frostys advice But I also clamp some copper wire with the earth helps keep an earth a bit better ( I think).
  6. Id go with Kozzy on the epoxy anchors. In the past I've used them to hold plates into the floor of a WW2 german observation bunker. Cant remember the brand name though but it had a little glass might have been thin plastic bulb that you dropped in then inserted the bolt which broke the bulb and released the epoxy.
  7. All of the above and, hot metal HAS the right of way. NEVER try to catch hot metal.
  8. Well the air blower works tested it quickly last night. Though as far as air for my forge I think I have a simple solution. This came home with me this morning. Ill work on the air blower when i get time and some space.
  9. I love the anvil set up. Thomas hit it on the head with the level. If you cant find a couple of sawhorses see if you can find a premade metal frame that would adapt to fit.
  10. im saying 16A as it has a blue 3 pin site type connection then a female one of them to a normal household plug
  11. I cant get to the fan just yet and is i can power it ill be impressed as its gonna draw a lot of power from the circuit. Ill try get it going by the weekend though.
  12. Followed me home from a mates. I think its a cut off tool but as always im not sure.
  13. Got the last bits of my drum forge out the storage boxes today and as I had found a few old sections of angle iron from years back ( I had a scrap pile before I knew about blacksmithing). I attempted the dark art of welding (MIG). Only 1 leg fell off after the first attempt ( fell off twice though 1 of those was when I welded the wrong bits together). Just have to connect an air source now and I should have fire capability again
  14. looks like a nice vice and as far as bits on the jaws.. who knows the little bit missing might be handy one day. How do you intend to mount it?
  15. Im thinking of trying this myself.. What size steel did you use? I was thinking of using flat bar to make the circles though.
  16. Add 1/2 of that again and your getting to what we pay for new tongs.. think Vaughns want £37($55 usd) upwards for new tongs
