  1. Give the ol' anvil a female name then you can say " a little sway in her is a good thang "
  2. I have an inline two speed switch that was wired into the blower. It is nice to switch the blower off . Most times if I forget and leave it on it creates to much fire for what Im tinkering with.
  3. Thx Mr. Olsen,, it wore me out for sure. The # 12 Peddinghaus is nice only issue is the recess cut around the outer edge of the hardy hole,,can't really get a good shoulder set in
  4. Tryed putting on the old work boots after 8 weeks. Shuffled around the shop and beat down a 1 x1 into a straight hot cut. Don't take long for body strength to drain out from inactivity.
  5. My Englander shop wood stove has a blower on the back that is plumbed vert. into a row of horizontal pipes where the hot air blows out the front. They may be used for that
  6. The green bar is used as a 3 point hitch stabilizer (sway bar ). Attaches to the hitch pin on one side of the implement , the other end to the side of the rear axle of the tractor
  7. Back in circa 1627-29 a Sir ( knighted ) came to the new world . Records were kept in the log cabin courthouse at Jamestown , the courthouse burnt down so have not been able to track back further. That's all I know except it seems we have tilled toiled farmed and tended the lands thru out time. Dad left the farm right out of high school, after business school managed a propane company for 47 years.
  8. Does it have a pivit to be able to dump out it's contents ? Looks in fairly rough condition. Only real value would be if you could document it's use during the Belchers Gultch? gold rush or a similar notable location or usage.
  9. Auction night part deux, New Ridgid straight pipe welding vise Two full propane tanks Heavy cast pot for smelting Two extended air guns, couple new clamps, a slide puller, couple springs and a new USA air filter
  10. Maybe stamp a disclaimer ,, " Not For Official Use" because they look to real,, great work
  11. I hobbled to the auction house last night. Sacrificed a Franklin . New Irwin Hanson npt tap set, new Rigid pipe cutter, 1/2 x 2 flat stock for a gullitin, 1 x 4 rounds one to be a different size rivet set. Brass rods and vise grip brand clamps. No ID on the drill press vise
  12. You might find the coal a lot cheaper in bulk apposed to bagged if they offer it that way.
  13. Everything has been at a halt for the past couple months. Old trama injury to the ankle's took another turn. After a painful long wait for surgery,. finally got some work done. A tarsil tunnel release along with the removal of 4 bone chunks from within the Achilles tendon. This makes it the 11th operation over the past 23 years. Number 12 on the other ankle may be in the near future. Hobbled out to the shop today and noticed how the dust has begun to build up and cobwebs hanging around.
  14. Not sure how many burners, however will probably need a propane delivery truck as a fuel supply source
  15. Hope to see some of your vid's resurface
  16. Have been cleaning up a couple scrap metal piles, dismantled a steel truss for angle iron. Found a lost oxygen pony bottle,. Cut off the bottom for a dishing tool , rigged up a part of a r x r spike for the bell clapper . Extracted the high density foam out of the old hot tub cover.
  17. ok,, it does fry,,now according to the game who's head will you try it out on
  18. Found a usable donor to cut up. Will chop the back down closer to the 10" stack outlet. Cut a side radius out over the fire pit. Will probably have to run a strap on the back down to the lower outside table frame on the forge for support. Will only have 9" on each side to sit on. We will see
  19. yeppers I have a tandem dump to weld up cracks at the door column at the hinges then plate over with some 16 gauge tomorrow,, tested with the .030 already in the machine was way to much wire dia. . switched over to .023 and "more gooder " results,, 70/25 gas shielding. Remember to watch the leading edge of the burn not the back fill puddle
