  1. Heck give the guys at Big Blu Hammer a call. I bought one of their hammers about a year ago and could not be happier. They have awesome customer support and have all their products instock ready to ship.
  2. I have found Hickory to be the best handle material. I have all of my hammer handled with it. I didn't used to think that it would work very well until I got my first hammer from the Big Blu boys and have since switched all of my hammers over. It is an awesome handle material that is readily available and very affordable. I have found it to hold up over time very well.
  3. I always use a pelican hard-shell case when I travel they are a bit expensive. But you get what you pay for and they will take a large amount of abuse. The foam lined idea in a hard shell suit case is an excellent idea also. I travel allot so durability is a big concern on my part. Good luck on your mission trip.
  4. I agree with redanvil Big Blu does make a fine cross peen hammer.
