  1. If the tractor had the same weight as the steam engine would the contest be more even?
  2. The next time someone tells someone it is a fake fire, ask them if they have a Dollar bill they don't care about!
  3. Back when "Here's Your sign" was new, I had to email Bill Engvall and ask what that meant. Had never heard of it. Pretty sure I got mine right then and there.
  4. I have one of those gasoline lamps in all brass. I have used it a couple of times and it works, but the worry factor is kinda high.
  5. Having Unobtanium that slowly dissolves only taps and bullets would be nice.
  6. If You want to send the parts along I'll make them.
  7. Any chance a bolt and nit could be turned to push up. A jack might be too big for the clearances involved, but a nut and bolt would be smaller.
  8. Maybe obtanium, its close cousin is unobtanium.
  9. Here in Lancaster Ohio they have just got done making the first 26" white Oak water wheel to restore the Rock Mill back to operating condition.they said it was the first one made in 100 years, and possibly the last. Cost around $250,000. Willneed a few more years to get the mill up and running. To keep it blacksmithing related they did have a smith in attendance demoing the trade.
  10. You will have to do some searching but an auction was listed in Orient, Oho. It had an anvil and 25 " Hardies" listed to sell. thought the general population here might be interested.
  11. I've heard of lead for your "pencil, maybe it was supposed to be Iron!:)
  12. Maybe this stuff DOES grow on trees!:)
  13. Wonder if some one could come up with something made of thin metal stamped with an impression. Would be great advertising and greatly stand out from run of the mill.
  14. It's only 6" high by about 1 1/2" around. Red label is unreadable, no other marks not even numbers. Was around Carbon Tet parts cleaners for a few years, Solvent was heated to steam also. It just misted down onto parts, still had a small smell. Would not put out much of a fire, Happened to remember the guy was an engineer on coal fired trains and last job was boilers in a factory if that helps. Not pressurized at this time.
  15. Light weight handle made out of old style clothes line and a 1" long piece of hose. Clothes line is tight fitting into hose. Might look appropriately old for the reproduction side of the trade. Cheap, easy, classical all a great combination.
  16. If anyone needs an idea for a different style of handle they could try this. Hose could be black or contrasting color.
  17. I have found this cleaning out a barn for a friend. Don't know what it's. Any one know what it is? Smelled like naphtha, but not pressurized now.
  18. You probobaly notice the power consumption when your lights go dim!:)
  19. Do they make a "bad mojo" device that I could wear ?
  20. If you don't need to go to the junkyard to find gifts, you just walk in the backyard, it's there somewhere, just find it!
  21. Shame you are not closed as I have about 11 cans surplus to needs.
  22. Wonderful to see, but, not any safety protection at all. If that wire would jamb up somewhere someone's ankles would have been badly burned, no hearing protection either. I am not a safety nazi, those were wild times.
