  1. Thanks. I have a long way to go but I'm looking forward to it.
  2. Hello everyone. I have ventured into the world of knife making. I'm hooked. I used a 10" table saw blade without carbide tips. I understand this is not the best way to make knives but I wanted to try it out. I have made two from it so far. The first one I made is a full tang with black walnut handle and brass riveted pins. I used super glue for the finish on the scales. The second one I did is a hidden tang with a stacked bamboo handle. I used a clear satin polyurethine to seal this handle. Let me know what you think. I did not sand the metal past 600 grit and didn't buff them. I need to work on my grinding, but this metal was quite thin to start and didn't leave much to put a bevel on . Thanks for you time!
  3. Hello, I live in Watertown and want to watch someone forge and do some blacksmithing. I'm in the process of getting a two burner propane forge and my brother in-law (lives in California) is mailing me a stump anvil he is making for me, along with some tools he made. I plan on making tools, knives, and art in my blacksmithing as i progress in skill. If you live near me I would love to come to your shop. Thanks! -Phil
