  1. Oh Lou, it is hard to go against the grain of your waxing.
  2. Yup Thomas, that's the trick - neat that your father had his hand in the stickers, if you will. Almost would have to have a very long handle on that fork with a small counterweight to pitch those mumbleweeds all day .
  3. NO Honey NO!!! Don't You Eat That Yellow Coal!!!!!!
  4. Great news, Charles. You and all whom you love continue in our hearts and prayers, Robert and Sheila Taylor
  5. TempestOmen - Pleasing to eye. I will probably never make a blade so beautiful, but that don't mean I'm not going to try. Inspiring. Robert Taylor
  6. You are quite welcome Mr blades. I find the live edge slab and black iron combination to be particularly appealing, and your piece rings like a bell to my ears. I must currently live vicariously through the fine craftsmen who grace these pages, until I get the smithy remodeled. Currently, a sub-seasonal creek runs through it. But I just had a large portion of the big mullberry taken down, and I hope to slab some of that. I see a lot of great stuff on this forum, and I am far more impressed than my comment count would indicate.
  7. I am shaking my head Mr. Blades, stricken as to how complete the piece is unto itself, Outstanding. Robert Taylor
  8. Just a moment zombie #4 whilst I stick this rebar back in the fire! I keep 7-1/2 in the 870 so's I don't have to worry about hitting neighbors. Big fan of 00 and slug, though.
  9. 7.62 x 39 - I know how to use it, hope I never have to use it but for supper.
  10. He looks better every time I look at him. Really sharp, Mister, cutting edge!
  11. Charles, I will ask the Mrs to put you on the big list first thing in the morning. With you in Spirit, Robert and Sheila Taylor
  12. Yep Thomas, had a few green mumbling mumbleweeds on a small strip by the road - the biggest one weighed 30#. Stuffed a two cubic yard dumpster lickity-split. Best admired in "someone else's yard", you bet.
  13. Das Wulf, That is stunning, as in, I am stunned by this piece. There is nothing you could possibly change to improve it, it speaks to me. What would you ask for this piece? Yes, Trimont, TYRANOSAURUS RENCH!! Robert Taylor
  14. "(Though NOT the Arts and Crafts Movement of the early 1900's)" You sure about that, Thomas?
  15. I just can't decide!! I Love, er ah, I mean I HATE every kind of coal - it's yucky!
  16. Glenn, I will not answer that. But I do not believe that all the coal I deserve can be delivered all at once. I am SO Ashamed........ For those reading this, who are awash in coal, who might be thinking, What's the big deal", I live in Southern California, and I can't even get nut coal shipped to Yuma, and I am not.about to pay $1/# for something I'm going to set ablaze and burn up. I'm going to put a thin section of this coal I received in a picture frame.
  17. Handing out COAL, ""iron dwarf"?? And smells so sweet, Thomas.
  18. I must have been exceptionally naughty this year - Santa sent MY coal early. I promise I will be a very nice person - I hate coal! Santa, I am getting your warning loud and clear! You all know that Santa's Agents are masquerading as blacksmiths on this forum - any names come to mind, THOMAS, FROSTY?? GLENN? Robert Taylor
  19. Sent a request for permission to Industrial Press Yesterday.
  20. CTBlades - Now THAT is whimsical and alive - just as Kokopelli should be. Good work. Robert Taylor
  21. Just a note - my Gerstner & Sons box has a drawer specifically for the Machinery's Handbook, as well as the ('70's era?) Kennedy top box. I am still trying to determine copyright restrictions - thank you Thomas, for the link - so far I have not nailed down the answer. Limited time and talent. Robert Taylor
  22. I am not sure about copyright - not familiar with the protocols for expiration.
  23. Here is a Fourth Edition that I had the good fortune to have acquired: Lots of mathematics in there as well. Robert Taylor
  24. I really like your big wing nut. Keep on a plugging. Robert Taylor
