  1. Siren Wisconsin has smithing coal for sale $15.00 for a 50 lb bag . At the scrap yard there but I don't think that's any closer
  2. has not set their status

  3. Did you get my response?

  4. Hey it's tuesday how long till you get this message. I like the porcelain/ceramic idea for the goblet. time for some tests. lets check popes hobby land for supplies. I may have a buyer for another wreath holder i'll need your help. We can split the proffit.

  5. Thanks again. I did a search on this site for makers mark, and had only one hit so I thought I would ask and once again it proved most informative.
  6. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask , but does any body know where to have a custom hot or cold stamp made? I normaly use a leter punch set but some times they come out crooked.
  7. Read this forum and try to learn as much as possible, with out forgeting what I already know. Or think I know ha ha ha.
  8. Wow! Thanks for all the info. My goblet will mainly be used for beer. I like the pure tin idea. If I blacken the outside and tin the inside it should have a fairly attractive contrast. I would still like to know more about copper and it's toxicsity. I hope to start as soon as I gather all the raw materials. As soon as I figure out how I will post pics of the finished product. If it turns out that is.
  9. Can I use lead free solder Or does it have to be pure tin? I did a quick tinning supply search without much luck. Once again all your help is very much apprecated.
  10. Thank you Frosty. I will try tin. I really appericate all the help on my first "posted" question.
  11. Thank you for the info. Is thear something I could use that has a beter color contrast? Could the copper be sealed? Any info would be greatly appericated. Brass maby or would I run into the same problems?
  12. I am trying to make a goblet out of heavy wall black pipe. what can I use to coat the inside? I have been told to use copper. Will that corrode if used for drinking?
