Why is everything showing up twice? And, any idea why signature block is missing?- 28 replies

For a face shield I finally purchased the "Uvex S8510 Bionic Shield" and can say I am very pleased with it especially when grinding or sanding. Of course I still wear safety glasses as well. The shield is designed in such a way as to keep pretty much everything from getting inside it, with the exception of dust of course.

My shaft moves 3/16 of an inch at the fan and sounds like a coffee can with rocks in it.

Hello Robbie-G, a lot of good suggestions on here. For my 2 cents I went with Centaur Vulcan Firepot with Dumping Ashgate From Centaur Forge. I am 100% pleased with it.

This all sounds like valuable information. I recently purchased a 400 that has a LOT of play at the fan and sounds horrible. I guess I'm gonna have to attempt replacing the bearings behind the fan.

Choo Choo Forge has open forge every Thursday from 1:00pm to 7:00pm for members, visitors are always welcome. We have new classes all the time with 2 of the best instructors any one could hope for. It's a great atmosphere where everyone one is learning and helping others learn at the same time. We have special projects from time to time such as the gas forges we are just completing. Tomahawks are in the near future. Meetings are the first Thursday at 6:00pm every month. Times are EST. Come see what all the excitement is about.

Anthracite or Bituminous

Thanks for the information! Sounds like great advice. I appreciate your comments, would much rather learn with advice rather than the hard way. I will check out Jasper GA as well. -
Anthracite or Bituminous
DoubleD replied to Trip's topic in Solid Fuels: Coal, Coke, Charcoal, Wood, etc
I've been using bituminous coal (blacksmith coal) costing $15.00 per 50 pound bag. Burns great, but is very dirty and smoky. Just learned tonight that Tractor Supply Company (TSC) carries anthracite (aka Nut Coal) for $4.99 for a 40 pound bag! For that price I think it would be worth trying, even if I mix the two. -

Glad to see response on here, and Jerry I know thanks! I'm trying to get AACB moved from the inactive list. Another thing, check out our 50th anniversary celebration on the events page. That will happen if someone starts to use it, until then; the dead stay in the morgue.- 28 replies
