Made these today cross didnt turn out the way I wanted but for the first one I can deal with it Wifey says I"m to hard on myself . I need to do better at sawing the kerfs hard to keep strait .
I was quoted a price of 140.00 to ship a 160# anvil from one of the suppliers, thats from them to the freight haulers dock then i would have to pick it up
Thats a nice anvil and base you got there djhammerd. I'm just starting into this and looked at some diff base's for anvil's but your's is real nice mine is simple ,made from a pc of maple if I recall correctly
Hi have a champion 400 blower that turns well enough but I would like to take the top off to clean up the inside and there are 2 srew I took out do i need to something diff any ideas thanks joe

I dont know if you have flea markets in the Netherlands but it would be a place to look ,also metal shops that are going out of buisness, public sales and scrap yards good luck
Yea I'm new to forgeing I was making a heart out of a old horse shoe today and got my first scale burn. It's going to happen just like when I weld at work some times them buggers find there way up over your helmet and down the back of your shirt You will get use to it atleast to some degree I figure.
I have a Haybudden 127# its seen some use thats for sure looking at it if you can like the beauty of a anvil I find it a nice looking anvil the face has some marks here and there and the edges are chipped out and rounded . You guys are saying if I'm readin you all correctly its the utility of the anvil regardless of who made it . I'll be using this one till a better one maybe shows up
