    Beveling

    as mentioned there is enough to reading here to keep you at your desk for months, however most of us would rather spend time in the shop...........hands-on is the best way imo, heat 'er up and giv'r , sure your gonna make mistakes and ruin steel like everyone on here has and still does............bevel away, enjoy and post some pics along the way !!

  14. anneal at approx temp 1550F for few minutes cool in vermiculite overnight heat treat - same as anneal , 1550F for a few minutes quench in canola approx 125-140F temp - 425F for 60 , let cool repeat for 60min here's couple recent ones that are already posted.........good luck with it working on this one at the moment.......

  17. maybe not lazy just sometimes it's nice to a have a quick answer .............= more time in the shop.............. buy once like some other misc shop items and your good for a while...............I read that in a knifemaking class post somewhere
  18. ...the alternative to heat treat foil wrap...........comes in a compound applied to prevent scale , used more on stainless ................
