  1. When I first started welding it was at a shop that built aluminum concrete forms. One day a kid I was working with, was making an overhead weld (about 2 ft. over his head) in an extremely difficult spot. All of a sudden he came out from under the piece he was working on dancing, screaming, and getting nekkid from the waist down. Apperently while welding he saw a bout a big ole goober of weld about to fall off the weld area.He instinctively ducked his head down so it wouldnt fall into his face. While it didn't land on his face, it did land on his neck. that bit of molten aluminum rolled all the way down his spine and setteled in the crack of his butt. I know it's not nice to laugh at other peoples misfortune, but sometimes.................
  2. OK. My interests cover a pretty broad range just because I'm the only welder/fabricator/metal guy my friends and family know. This usually leads to quite a bit of time sitting in front of the puter trying to figure out how the xxxx I'm gonna fix this or make that. I started out as an aluminum welder about 12 years ago then after 6 moved on to carbon and stainless steel. I like building knives (have not got one to come out less than ugly yet), doing SOME gun repair, custom parts for motorcycles, and on and on . I guess I like making steel do it my way.
  3. Don't flash yourself. I've found that to be the best remedy.
  4. I wish I had $1 for every time I flashed or set myself on fire.
  5. Just wanted to say "Hi". Nice place ya'll have here.
