  1. maybe off a euklid (sp?)or cat dump trks? what ever it was off of was huge. good score if you can work it!
  2. yes keepem both, you'll be surprised at how handy they can be,the rail will sure be easier to carry around if needed. can't say anything about the attwood, but i'm sure some one here will know something.
  3. make a stand and stand it on end 3x10 is a good surface (if it is clean cut) then you could lay it down for a 10x27 surface.you may be intrested in a "brian brazeal" style anvil..pictures on this site, show it to us when ya get it done!
  4. i've used alot of ridged cutters, both 1 and 2 bladed i do recommend them..as for replacement cutters they are easy to find. saws and such are nice but you need blades cords, etc. and that might be a prob, with falling off the ladder, but the ridged "clamps" on and you can stop and rest with out taking it off. and you only need the muscle to run it, good luck and be safe doing that job!

  11. that is one of the best rr spikes i have seen! now get some good steel worthy of your talents.
  12. we have used methanol/denatured alcohol in air systems, but i don't know about a hammer and hot iron. use a dryer/oiler and keep it and the tank drained, for light oil i've used marvel mystery oil
  13. some of ya'll know that momma was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer about 3 weeks ago.well her struggle ended today, so if you are so inclined please say a prayer for the family, jimmy
  14. i have mixed/used truck loads of sodium hydroxide in the drilling industry..i would recommend that you leave it alone! it's just not worth the risk for what you want to do with it. and when (in the right proportions) caustic and zinc produce cyanide gas, besides you risk chemical burns, lung/vapor probs, and heat from the chemical reaction. but if you insist on using it ALWAYS add caustic to H20 never the other way around
  15. prayers from west texas that HIS will be done, jimmy&mary
  16. well folks, it's with a heavy heart that Stacy has passed on...her suffering in this world is over but please remember the family as i can imagine they are having a rough time of it,jimmy

  20. any of these critters will make for a really bad day,so ya'll be careful. as far as spider webs..maybe natural fly catchers? but the web helps blood coagulate iffin ya cut yourself. but it may be for luck (like a house spider) and we could all use some of that time to time
