  1. so a huge pile of coal would be safe to keep out side for a few years
  2. i have the same problem but bigger where i live here in alberta our good smithing coal in 50 lbs bags is about $75 from home hardware they get it from ontaro but to get good coal from home here is hard because the suppliers woul let us buy it un less we get 100 tons or more i dont know how if possible i could store this much space is not an issue but a 100 tones how wuld you do that i would use any ideas i could get thanks eco
  3. yes the dupont linkage and i like the idea of a tire hammer because of how compact it is
  4. hello every one some time this winter i want to build some sort of power hammer but i dont know what type of linkage to use. i want some thing that is easy to build but effective. i have see linkages that look to be made out of leaf springs? where would you get the springs bent like that. i need help choosing i found a page on anvil fire but i dont want to up set any one by posting the link to it thanks eco
  5. hello every one the other day a famly friend asked if i could make a plate holder for her she wants it to look "old" so i dont want to use to many modern techniques i would like to use some thing like two leaves holding it i need help with ideas for a final piece if you have any ideas they would be greatly appreaceated as this is the first project for some one other than family thanks eco

  7. i got one to add to that list "is it hot in there "? every time i feel like saying no its not that hot its only 30C out side and we are standing over a coal fire that is most likely burning at 1000 degrees what do you think

  9. .when i redid my champion 400 i needed to keep a pail of gas to wash my hands off in so you are not the only one that had to get your hands dirty

  13. ok i got the blower new bearings and i put it to gether i dose not spin freely when you let go of the handle dose it need to be all put to getter to work
  14. also i have a welder and torches and grinders
  15. i think it is the bearings only one side of the shaft makes noise but i dont know what to do
  16. i took the blower a part to see why it was so loud but i cant find any thing that could be so noise except the bearings but i dont know how to get them out any ideas thanks eco also any ideas for a clinker breaker ?
  17. hello guys so i got that stuff that i bought the other day and i have a few questions about it the forge has a round pot with the lip bolted onto the bottom of the table is this right it looks like it should sit on the top of it also i got a blower for it a champion 400 but it needs just a little work a general cleaning and over hall there is only two broken parts so far its the little oil door thing any ideas for a new one. also the peace that holds the blower onto the stand any ideas n welding it thanks eco
  18. hello i heed some replacement blower handles for some blower that i just bought is there any where i can buy them or should i just make them out of some dowel i dont know where to find info on this topic thanks eco
