  2. I had a look at a diesel fired forge the other day that is for sale in Bassendean W.A. It was too big for my use but someone here might have a use for it. It is located at a business called West Coast suspensions 188 Railway Pde, Bassendean. Contact is John on 9378 2133. They will take $400 for it which is a good price I think. I have some pics of it if that is of any help. Just send an email to me and I will forward the pics. gard1@ozemail.com.au Cheers Steve
  3. I would love to see a jackhammer chisel bit properly sharpened and hardened with my own 2 eyes instead of watching it on youtube etc. Any ideas on who might have some time to show me, I can supply the chisel bit from a box full that I have. I am located south of Perth but will travel anywhere to cop a look if possible. Cheers Steve

  8. Hi guys.... I have been asked by a mate at a hire company to re-shapen and harden all of their jackhammer bits and chisels. I did a few using a big bench grinder and then heated them to cherry red and quenched them in oil and finally gave them a buff to remove the soot from the quenching process........so far so good......... Am I on the right track???, I do not seem to be able to find any info anywhere and the correct way to do these things, can anyone here help point me in the right direction?? Cheers Steve
