tim that is funny. I have the same pattern anvil but from what I have figured out it is an aslop. Mouse hole had a short horn mister postman mentions them in the mousehole book. with no pritchel hole it dates back to the 1700"s They were made in the same area but very little information exist on aslop just the big horn. I thought for years mine was a mouse hole it would be interesting to know if yours is marked mousehole?
