  3. Custom metal Work " plain or fancy". It's all about the time it takes to produce the product and what the traffic will bear. If the client wants fancy, they make the call and they can't balk at the price. With plain, what you see is what you get. Peter
  4. Gents, Thanks for your time and input; the search continues. Peter
  5. Gents, Does anyone have any working experience with the KA hammer. I am looking to buy my first power hammer and the KA has some attractive features, i.e. price and space requirement. I am seeking some independent feed back on performance or operational problems that you have experienced. My work load is not at production level and I would like to be able to work larger dimesnion stock. Thanks, Peter
  6. Gents, This table in my shop is 4 ft x 8 ft and fabricated out of 5/8 steel plate. Photo attached. There are Qty 6, 2 inch sockets located on the perimeter (reese hitch dimension). The sockets will accomodate all manner of attachments, bridges for hold downs, upright stantions for a post vise or a swage holder. Versitality is what you are looking to achieve. Do not skimp on the legs, heavier the better. Make certain to edge frame with some HD rectangular tubing, this will stiffent the flat surface and prevent any deflection. Note that moving these type tables is a task. Approximate weight, less any attachements, is close to 900 LBS. It is a tremendous work surface.
  7. Donated FP Poker, Tall persons, 38 In, basket handle, colonial hilt, oil finish.
  8. BT and all, Thanks for all your research. The tool probably came from around the Belfast area. My friend has a place in Liberty. Peter
  9. Gents, Many poultry outfits were in that part of the state before the advent of the meg-farms, so the feed chain idea is viable. Is the device intended to make the chain and if so, is it a progression set up. I just have not seen anything like this before in use.
  10. Gents, I have a cast tool that I recently received. I am no sure what it does. It is marked with " big dutchman" "Chain" and some numbers. The opening between the divisions is less than .25 in. Photos attached. Any suggestions? Thanks, Peter
