  2. I like L brand but then ive never forged with a good seam of coal before too around here its around the size of a quarter and up the a baseball a fair bit of clink little green tint in the smoke and about I think 7 $ for a 50lb bag but you have to buy 2000 lbs

  5. kyler uses a hair dryer for a blower but has only about 20 1/8 in. hole drilled in his brake drum for air could be those get blocked off i have told him personaly to drill bigger holes in it but ah well.......
  6. thanks guys matt it was just some scrap rebar i tacked on some plasma scrap it does direct the air flow a bit to the side where the blower is when theres no coal in it i havent made a fire in it yet that for the evening! dale i hope it is

    perfect stuff to add to a 2 ltr. bottle with a little tinfoil in it just make sure you step back

  13. BFN thats what it is i did a little research after posting and i learned they are used in concrete ties. mine is close to the normal size but the head is completely round
  14. i have one rr spike thats twisted i am guessing it was used kind of like a screw so it wouldnt work loose as fast but idk what to do with it i dont really want to mess up the twist but i can and will if i dont think of other ideas.

  16. i forge after dark most of the time with a light on the anvils and there is a door o can let up right where the picture was taken that lifts out and shades the area the forge is also on the north side of the buiding shade isnt too much of a problem just rain and wind soon to be remeded thpough

  18. am probably gonna mail a check tommorrow to Mr Spencer for plans but i do have one question are the dies welded to a plate which in turn is bolted to the anvil? if so then they would still be interchangable
