  1. Hi iron woody. Steel wool to take tarnish of the copper then clean the copper and steel with acetone. then stack together with out touching with bare hands , Chris
  2. Hi smiths . Had a play with this stuff a couple years ago . no solder ,no flux just straight fusion steel and copper hole patterns on this thank you . Chris

Hi Robert im very happy i have inspired you in some little way , This stuff you can do just take time and practice one step at a time dont try everything at once , try getting one thing as good as you can then move to the next and so on then you will be able to put everything you have learned together .Thanks mate . Not real sure what you mean but you have to be able to forge first , split and drift as well wood carve and engrave and inlay metals then carve the inlayed material hope that helps but thats only because i prefere to do everything my self and under stand hardening and tempering Heres a quik pic of the buffs head inayed just before carving ,

Hi metal lovers my name is Chris, just want to say gooday found this magic site about a week ago. and hope i can fit in some where , my interests lay mainly in hawks from around 1700 on wards a hobby smith play around a bit at a historical cottage called Monte De Lancey down in Melboure Victoria , Know a couple of faces on here from aus.
