  1. Because most people who don't blacksmith, are ignorant of what the craft is truely capable of creating. Don't let it bother you, life is too short.
  2. 130lb Fisher anvil with stand for $175,brought it home Friday.
  3. I have been looking for an anvil and I found this one. I have attached pictures of the anvil but something doesn't seem right. There is no name or marking on the anvil and the owner doesn't know much about it. I hope someone here might have an idea if this should be my first anvil. Thanks for your help.
  4. I hope you have all the success you can handle.
  5. Ciladog Thanks for the awesome thread, and that is one sexy hammer you have.
  6. If Wylie is not too far for you I would check out Eagle National Steel, from what I have seen they have the best prices in Dfw.
  7. Seeing that rack makes me wish I drank wine, that is very nice.
  8. Anyone have any experience with this brand? I am the DFW area there is a 150lb for sale for $500. Is this a good value? from the pictures I have seen it looks to being pretty good shape.
  9. It seems like a good deal to me, but I am still a noob, so don't listen to me.
  10. How can you tell this is a POS by the picture? What are you seeing that I don't see? BTW I am a noob, so if this is a dumb question you will have to forgie me.
  11. I am heading to the junkyard tomorrow looking for something that will work as anvil until I can buy one. I have been told that escavator pins are good substitute anvil, but I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestion for what else I can look for.
