I just discovered this site and it is looking like an incredible source of information and ideas! I am relatively new in this area of metalsmithing. I am a plant guy but have a fair amount of experience with wood and some with softer metals (silver, copper, brass). The whole idea of taking a piece of iron and making something useful out of it appeals to me.
I will be spending a lot of time just looking at what awesome things everyone else has made and try to find blacksmiths in my area of the country (USA) to learn from.
