  1. Hey man, that is beautiful!
  2. Whatever it is , I hope you don`t get too much of it into your lungs! Remember, your health is your wealth.
  3. In all probability, the quality of workmanship and care of tools in those days would preclude having to do what you propose. But your grindstone idea is possibly what would have been used. Kevan
  4. I often see, associated with pictures in the gallery .....&quot. What is "quot"? Kevan
  5. I have the C41- 40kg which I have had for the past 3 years and it has proved to be fantastic in every regard. I bought it directly from the factory over the internet and what an experience of professionalism on the part of the sales staff that was. I am situated in South Africa and my hammer is one of 3 An Yungs that I know of to be in the country. For what its worth, I think the 9kg too light, but I suppose it depends on what you do. Regards, Kevan

Door I made for a tiny chapel attached to my smithy. The white marks are clearly what the birds in my garden think of my handiwork!

  13. Hello and greetings to All, I`m new to this forum but not new to the wonderful world of hot metal and from my preliminary observation of this site, look forward to learning and meeting new people and gaining ideas and sharing interesting exchanges with folk who are clearly passionate about their involvement with blacksmithing. I am a full time metalworker, in my own employ, and have a reasonably fully functional smithy, but alas, most of my work is straight forward and the forge is often cold. Kind regards, Kevan O`Donnell (South Africa)
