  1. I am gonna have to agree with the previous posts....... My old boss had Smiths , and we always had trouble getting tips in the size we wanted . The tips were pricey if I remember right too. Ive been doing structural steel for over twenty years and I like the Victors , they are comfortable, and parts and accesories are everywhere. Good luck.......chrisp
  2. Thomas , I think the goal is to feed yourself , because you are hungry........
  3. In my experience , its almost easy with the size of bolts we use. I have done structural steel for over twenty years. With structural pieces and stairs we would sometimes have to tack on nuts for a blind connection , usually tight in a corner where the wall prevents the connector from getting a hand in behind to hold a nut. The size we use is almost always 3/4 inch bolts and nuts. I use a 3/4 inch flathead bolt , set-up for a countersunk hole. It has a round head , and is set-up to be used with an allen wrench. Our holes are usually punched , if not I drill the holes , then put the bolt in with the tapered head on the opposite side of where you need the nut , the taper will center the nut in the hole. I just hand tight the nut , just to keep it from wobbling. Then a little shot of spatter spray , I weld two opposite sides of the nut . I dont need an allen wrench to loosen my bolt , because i welded a handle on it , it gets hot after a couple of holes. Hope that helps......c

  6. Hi guys . The gasoline cutting outfit is manufactured by PETROGEN. It works well here in the junkyard. Mostly because we use the gas from recycled vehicles to run it. If you were to buy the fuel....over 3 bucks a gallon.... you wouldnt save any money over acetylene. But it cuts thick , thin , even double and triple layers covered in dirt and rust. I have even cut through some loader bucket pins the long way.........about 8 inches......no problem. Of course I am using a number 8 tip.And the whole outfit was pretty chewy at over 1200 bucks , if memory serves correct , and that was prolly 6-7 years ago.
  7. Definitly art , good job johnny !! what do you call a guy with no arms or legs , hanging on the wall?......... you guessed it........................... Art .:)
  8. thats why they call them "Keepers" !! and that one is definitly a keeper!!
  9. Nice looking dragon Michael , I like your Marshmallow fork too. It looks like your tines are close enough to get both of them through the marshmallow. That should keep it from rolling on your fork. The other thing you want to remember is tell the kids to be careful shaking the flames out. I have caught a flaming marshmallow in the face, its like hot , sticky napalm..........LOL:D
