    Rusty, I see you are from Marlow, I live west of Rush springs! There are also a couple members of the Saltfork group around Duncan. The conference in October at Perry will be great! You are also more than welcome to come to our local meeting on the 21st of November. It will be about 10 miles west of Rush Springs. Bill D.

    Nihal, I have a copy of the book you are asking about. (yes I understood exactly what you were talking about) The book is a very good reference for someone who needs to know what type of bolts and screws are available commercially. It probably goes into more detail than the average home owner needs, but someone who designs assemblies or does commercial repairs of equipment it is really handy. Hope this helps! Bill Davis

    Lysdexic, Look at this roller. I bought one of these at a local tool place (Steve's Wholsale Tools) a couple of years ago and wound up buying another for our business. Both of them have stood up well. They were about $130.00 when I bought mine.They will bend 3/4'' solid but 1'' square tubing will not fit in the unit unless you make smaller rollers for the bottom.     Try these people. Keystone Spikes Products - Lock Spikes Diana and I bought a keg (about 1500 spikes) 4 or 5 years ago, but I have lost who we bought them from! I am pretty sure this is the place though. The spikes we bought are about 3/8'' X 2 1/2''. The shipping was as much as the cost of the spikes! Hope this helps, Bill Davis

    OkRhys, Saltforkcraftsmen is going to have a blacksmith meeting in Tulsa on Feb. 14th at Bill Kendal's shop. His shop is located 2 blocks south of I-44 on Peoria, behind Ferguson Plumbing. You are more than welcome to come by and visit, maybe hammer some! Bring your projects, tools or whatever but most important bring yourself! Bill Davis

    QC, I have one of the harbor freight crane's (the one without the winch) I added a electric winch near the post and put a pulley at the very end of the crane. I welded a plate to the frame under the bed to bolt the crane to. I have been pleased with it for the last 6 years. I use it to lift anvils and such (up to 400-500 lbs)into a tall 4wd 3/4 ton dodge.

    Jymm, We use Lazy Ass Forge for the very reason you listed, I don't want to take my blacksmithing serious, I have a JOB, blacksmithing is my hobby!(along with raising mules) By the way, I really like my colonial anvil I bought from you! Thanks for making them! Bill Davis

    SStreckfuss, These tongs belonged to my grandpa. He died in the 1940's. I think they are for different thickness flats and rounds but they don't work very well. They seem to put the most force in one place and let the material pivot side to side. I also have another pair which have the box joint and reins like these but they have a set of "ears" welded on in place of the swivel to stablize the material. Bill D.

    I uploaded a couple of pictures in the gallery of a pair of simular tongs that I have. They are in the Lazyassforge gallery. I also copied an ad for them out of an old catalogue. I think the tongs pictured probably were modified like Quenchcrack suggested Bill D.

    The third item is a guage for checking the amount of set in the teeth of a saw. The last item looks like a saw setting tool. Bill D.

    Aaron, I bought mine from Mcmaster-Carr several years ago. What letters are you needing, some are the same forward or backward. "A" ,"H", & "I" for instance. Some can be turned upside down and become backwards "B", "C", & "D" for instance. Hope this helps, Bill D.
