  1. The rack looks cool. Is there an issue with the hooks being shallow, or rotating on the eye? If so a deeper bend in the hook or an elongated oval eye as opposed to round may help. It's hard for me to see from the pictures. Oh and BTW I liked your videos. Keep it up. Rashelle
  2. I agree. At least as a minimum make sure that the people taking the MRI know that you work with metal. I bathe/shower daily, LOL (it's funny that I am qualifying this statement with that as a preface) yet when I went in for an MRI on a messed up ankle a few months ago I was giving off artifact echoes in the MRI. It turns out there was still steel embedded in my socks, So sockless and pantless I had to be for them to look at my ankle. They did end up taking extra long to get the images and some were blurry and had to be repeated, and not because I was moving around. It could of been a bad thing if it was near the head eyes.
  3. Hi Azur, A couple of things I can see right off. Others may have more and better suggestions. The fan box would need to be sealed, you're losing pressure out the sides, also a closer fit with wider blades to move more air/higher volume in the space provided. A breast drill also is only giving a low revolutions, gearing to increase revolutions per crank would be more efficient. If using press board as the building material why not try something along the lines of a box bellows like the Japanese use? Seal it good and make sure it works on the push and pull should get constant air flow. It's good you are doing this. Keep us posted as to how things are going, and what you decide and do.
  4. Clinton I believe has it right. I also had been thinking an extendable arm that can be tightened in place to mount underneath it would be a great idea to go with it. An extension like an L on it's side with the lower leg pointed up to slide the stock to butt up against so one could fast and efficiently cut the same length for multiple pieces. A wing nut or something underneath to tighten it in place or loosen as needed would be convenient and like Clinton said it'd work to support longer pieces also.
  5. I thought I had seen Brian Brazeal using a shear attached to his forge table on a UMBA video. I didn't get a good look at it but it's one thing that has been stuck in my mind pretty solidly ever since then. It seems like a great idea to me and is on my list of things to find out more about as is.
  6. Hi Miss Rocky, I like your hooks, thank you for showing them to us. We'll be looking forward to seeing more of your work. Keep up the good work. Rashelle
