I'm new to Blacksmithing and to the forum. I hope to learn from the vast of information shared on this forum. A little about myself. I served a sheetmetal apprenticeship where I learned to bend and shape sheetmetal for heating and air conditioning. During my apprenticeship I also completed a mechanical engineering degree.
I have always been interested in historic arts and other living history. I also do a little woodcarving, lumbering, silversmithing, Native American arts, foraging for supplies for all these activities. I'm also an avid ultra runner (distances over a marathon) on trails (rocky, root strewn...not paved) and work with a local trail building not for profit. So I have a number of interest and never bored or need something to do....
So, I appreciate any wisdom shared and certainly willing to share some of what I have learned....
Happy pounding, Jim
