  2. ok i just need to get the plumbing stuff and i can hook it up then ill post pics
  3. well its approx, 12" in diameter 4" deep, a lil small i think i got a brak drum but it seems too deep how would i make it a litle shallower to be able to get a hearth
  4. if i cut a hole into a pice of 3/8" checker plate and weldded a break rotor onto the bottom will that work for some medieum sized work or would i need to but firebrick all over the top to make it deeper
  5. I just payed $1.6/lb for a never used peter wright 186 lb anvil its really nice guy baught it had a heart attack and its sat in his barn for 20 years

  7. it is marked PW on the side and all reaerch iv done tells me thats what this is, besides it will be my first anvil (iv already paed for it)

  9. Hi i was offered a peter wright 186 lb anvil for 300$ ($1.6/lb) should i go for it it looks to be in good shape has a wrought iron body and a tool steel (hardened) face 1-1/4" hardy hole
  10. my name is josh im 14 years old from ontario canada looking to start up have a coal forge need a new anvil but have a temporary one just 1 question right now, for my touch mark i want a bulls eye that looks like this
  11. i call mine a cabana its a post structure with a slanted roo we use it for the bbq and bond fires but i have about 150 sq feet not even a half turned into my shop
  12. i wish i had anvilites i onlt have a 25 pound 1 from princess auto and in ontario big ones are scarce if anyone has like a 100-150 lb anvil for a good deal i may be interested im just starting so i cant have anything super expensive

Well i like that people are havig such an easy time down there in the states lol. im up here in ontario canada and i have been forging for close to a year and a half and still have had no luck getting an anvil all i have is a 25lb princess auto anvil. all the anvils iv seen within a 100mile radius are up to 2.5-3 dollars a pound, but i guess i cant complain because i get 2000lbs of coke (burnt down coal) deliverd to my door for $600 (25 cents a pound and 100 dollar shipping
