I'm a small parts builder, and originally I was using a Sherline, but the thing constantly broke down. I had to find a lathe that was tough enough to do what I needed in steel and aluminum. After endless searching I found the Gunhead 7x lathe. I bought it,abused it, and it does the job very well. It's made of steel and iron, unlike it's aluminum rivals. Best tool I ever purchased. So if your looking for a "good lathe" try giving them a look. You wont be dissapointed.
