  1. you bull softly on the tips to open I hope you get It will be looking in on this WIP to answer ? if any merry x miss
  2. Hear is a simple ornament 4x6" thin copper to start you must anneal at each step enjoy
  3. As long as you do not get your spike's out of the tracks I would think your fine there is a lot of other ways to get them. I can see why they don't want you pulling them from the tracks as I think they help hold them together.

My tree has at lest 10 smith made ornaments not all where gift's some I bought off of friends who made them at x miss to make some x miss cash. but if you are looking for a fast way to make an ornament. take come copper cut it into a diamond shape fold it in half hammer the edge open. to hard to explain I will make one today and post it tonight when i get home from the shop. I will do a step by step.

  8. Thank you the Damascus in the RR spike is 15n20 and 1084. I split the spike and put a wedge of my Damascus in it it is called san mie I dont thin'k I spelled that right

Hi my name is Dave Lisch I am a blacksmith and a Blade smith. my friend Larry told me about this so I thought I would check it out. about me well I make my living one job at a time if I get caught up I make knives. my wife works with me and now and then i will bring on a helper for a day or two. I have 3 Hammers 50 a 165 and a 330 I make all my own forges. I have bean a blacksmith for 15 years. and I started welding 35 years ago I just turned 50. I will post a pic or two when I have put enough time in to do so.
