  1. 3and a half inch screws into the ceiling trusses. It really works well with the rest of the house and sure beats drywall work and trying to match ceiling texture. Always nerve racking getting it put up. But great when it is done.
  2. Thanks frosty jim I have one of those too
  3. This will be mounted on a clients ceiling will post pic when mounted
  4. This is what happens when you think you want a big cube now just need to get it cleaned up and mounted. 18.75" X18.75"
  5. I know there are some other smiths on this sight from the Netherlands that I know would be more than willing to help you out!! Calling all Netherlands Smiths!!
  6. Looking good and welcome to the club of tool rebuilding addiction!!
  7. Where are you from?? You might be surprised how many blacksmiths are around you!! You might be able to hook up with one or all of them to show you a couple tricks. There also might be a club close that you could go to and see so much more. If you are around Nebraska my door is always open.
  8. Look into Mark Aspery's first book. Then check out Brent Bailey's grinding videos.
  9. What I really need to do is quite improving and get to forging!!
  10. Have pics?? If you don't have one and we don't know what you are doing with it, it is a great anvil.
  11. Rockstar thanks for always pushing us to use our brains in more ways than hammer hits hot metal. Where we are in life we need more out of the box thinkers and people like your self that help us to find a deeper meaning in all we see and do to truly better our lives.
  12. Phenomenal is all that needs said!
  13. I would rebuild what you have. You can always clay in the pan to fill the holes. Pics would help a lot. But sounds like the forge is workable.
  14. My thought on the first quote was not depressing but insperation. AND GOD BLESS AND THANK YOU TO ALL THE FALLEN (SILENT) (FRIENDS) SOLDIERS! You will never hear or read this but hopefully one day I will shake your hand and give you a hug and thank you for what you did and sacrificed for me to be free and have the life I have. So many times we are over focused on winning we forget the now silent sacrifices made to win the battles.
  15. My Brent bailey hammers at the anvil. I use the three from the left the most. 12lb modified, 2.75lb modified and the 3lb bailey cross pein. The last one on the right is a 3lb aspery modified.
  16. Frosty hope you get that rack done would be neat to see!! And sounds very useful. Aessinus have thought about it. Already have 4 stations in the shop and could put in 6 more if needed.
  17. Ya this was just to get them out of my hammer rack. LOL!!
