  2. I hope this is the right foum, a local antique shop has three swage blocks for sale at 65.00 each. The blocks have spoon shape and disk sapes as well as the usual edge shapes. The problem I see is that the depressions have a rough sand finish from the casting. Are these blocks rejects from the factory?
  3. I found this site last night researching building my own power hammer. I was leaning towards the apallachian style but after reading about the tire hammer I will look into this style. Working with metal is my passion, welding, fabrication, lathe and milling are among my tooling. Getting into blacksmithing seems like the next derection to go, looking foward to being a member of this forum.
