Land lines are useless without some type phone book or directory. Calling the operator to ask for assistance is a thing of the past. A cell phone and a google search will locate some phone numbers, but that means you go on line. You then have to save the number to your cell phone or look it up again later if you need it. That saved number does not include "press 1 for one thing", "press 2 for something else", and even then does not list the specific department you want, etc, or getting the person that has the information you need.
