Whale flint strikers

Mike Ameling

Some more Whale shaped flint strikers. Two with the tail orientated properly with the body, and 4 with the tail flat for easier storage/packing. Both styles are based upon a pair of originals pictured in a book (that I can't find back right now). The originals date from the late 1700's or early 1800's. The top two are a Russian Fur Trade style flint striker. They resemble the ULU knife of the Indians. The original is dated to the late 1700's.
